I am dira at Dreamwidth, and dsudis at the AO3. I'm also dsudis on Tumblr, where I mostly just reblog things posted by people I know, and @dsudis at Twitter.

I'm a WIP, and, given my attention span, I may never finish.

You do not need to ask my permission to remix, podfic, translate, create art for or create secondary fanwork of any fanwork I have posted. Please do include a link back to my work (the AO3 related work feature = love), and please share a link to your work with me--I'd love to see it!

(Some fraction of) what I've been reading lately: My AO3 bookmarks, my pinboard, my delicious bookmarks for everything else and delicious bookmarks for bandom.

What I'm writing lately (July 2014): Captain America, mainly the Winter Soldier variety--Bucky and Steve/Bucky and Steve/Sam and Steve/Sam/Bucky. Still hanging on also to Teen Wolf, Generation Kill, and The Vorkosigan Saga (...I swear I am continuing that series).

The blond is just about always my favorite. The blond, or the regular, good, competent guy who tends to get overshadowed by his freakishly gifted partner/brother/colleague/boss/subordinate/bandmate(s)/etc. Bonus points for smile lines and ~MANPAIN~.

FUCK YOU, SHE'S AWESOME: Lydia Adams. Kate Beckett. Stella Bonasera. Chickie Brown. Elizabeth Burke. Samantha Carter. Alexis Castle. Gwen Cooper. Sophie Devereaux. Penelope Garcia. Ellen Harvelle. Jo Harvelle. Jennifer Jareau. Harriet Jones. Martha Jones. Teresa Lisbon. Lindsay Monroe. Donna Noble. Parker. Amy Pond. Emily Prentiss. Dani Reese. Martha Rodgers. Toshiko Sato. River Song. Rose Tyler. Nyota Uhura. Grace Van Pelt. Laisa Toscane Vorbarra. Cordelia Naismith Vorkosigan. Ekaterin Nile Vorvane Vorsoisson Vorkosigan. YES SHE IS. DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE.

I am inappropriately fond of commas.

I have lines. It's just that they're dotted. And gerrymandered. If there is a Special Hell I'm sure I'm going there, if only because I talk at the theater.

I live in Wisconsin. There's not really (very much) more cheese or beer here than there is in other places.

I've been writing stories since I can remember, fanfic since I was fourteen, and slash since I was twenty. Writing makes me crazy sometimes, but not writing makes me crazier.

Year-by-year compilations of all my writing are under the bibliographic control tag.

This journal includes adult content on a fairly regular basis. If you're not supposed to be viewing such content, or if you are or think you may be my Dad, please don't look.

What we call the beginning is often the end
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
The end is where we start from. And every phrase
And sentence that is right (where every word is at home,
Taking its place to support the others,
The word neither diffident nor ostentatious,
An easy commerce of the old and the new,
The common word exact without vulgarity,
The formal word precise but not pedantic,
The complete consort dancing together)
Every phrase and every sentence is an end and a beginning,
Every poem an epitaph. And any action
Is a step to the block, to the fire, down the sea's throat
Or to an illegible stone: and that is where we start.
